Refreshed Exterior Design

Previously leaked images from both real-world sightings and China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filings showcase a redesigned front end with sharper angles, revised lighting clusters, and ventilation ducts strategically relocated beneath the headlights. The lower grille features more pronounced three-dimensional framing, creating a more aggressive overall aesthetic. The rear maintains the full-width light bar design but incorporates thicker lighting elements for a fuller, more rounded appearance.

Enhanced Dimensions and Performance

The new ES8 measures 5280×2010×1800mm with a 3130mm wheelbase, representing significant growth compared to the current model. Power comes from a dual-motor setup delivering 520kW maximum output, paired with CATL-supplied ternary lithium batteries.

Advanced Charging Capabilities

The model introduces a 900V ultra-fast charging and battery swap platform capable of reaching 925V. Supported by NIO's third-generation intelligent platform, it achieves up to 5C charging rates — enabling 250km of range in just 5 minutes of charging or a complete battery swap in 3 minutes. Peak charging power reaches 600kW with a maximum current of 765A.
