The latest data from the UK's Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reveals that Tesla's July sales in Britain dropped dramatically by approximately 60% year-on-year, with just 987 units sold.

The trade organization also reported a broader 5% decline in new car registrations across the entire UK automotive market in July.

Despite the current sales challenges, SMMT projections suggest battery electric vehicles will account for 23.8% of new vehicle registrations by 2025 — slightly above the organization's previous forecast of 23.5%.
