This restructuring means customers who previously would have purchased the ¥369,800 ($50,900) Ultra trim can now obtain all equivalent features for ¥349,800 ($48,200). Li Auto has also committed to processing refunds or configuration upgrades for customers who had already ordered the now-discontinued Pro trim.

In explaining the decision, Li Auto revealed that over 98% of i8 buyers chose either the Max or Ultra trims following the vehicle's launch. However, customer feedback indicated the previous trim structure was unnecessarily complex. Buyers specifically requested standard refrigerators and optional rear entertainment screens—features that have now been addressed in this update.

Notably, company founder Li Xiang disclosed yesterday that the i8 has already secured over 30,000 reservations.
